Excellent speakers

They listened, they sourced a solution

Background on this is some people had issues with sound models. It was apparently tracked back to using 4ohm speakers instead of 8. I don't know the technicalities of it, and I personally haven't had any issues, but I opted to buy replacements for my sound fitted 37s "to be sure". I will easily be able to re-use the 8ohm speakers elsewhere.

Great sound, easy installation

Great sound, easy installation

Having acquired a secondhand Accurascale 97301 that was DCC ready, I wanted to add sound. This speaker was the obvious solution. Installation could not have been simpler with the lift-off roof panel, although routing the multitude of wires around the speaker inside the loco was awkward with my large fingers. Worked first time though, and sounds great.

Accurathrash DCC Sound Speaker - 8 Ohm

Bought to replace the 4 ohm speakers in two of my Class 37 models. The sound now rivals that from my Class 66! Better than the original.

8 better than 4?

I gather that the 8 ohm works better in some Accurascale models than the fitted 4 ohm so I have bought some as replacements. Not yet tried out. In any case the latest Accurascale sound set ups seem now to be fitted with 8 ohm..
